Spartan Turf Products is a Midwest-based distributor of Toro commercial equipment and golf irrigation systems, serving golf courses, athletic fields, and municipal grounds operations across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan. Our technicians and field service professionals help customers keep their equipment operating at peak performance through expert maintenance, repairs, and support.
We are looking for an experienced Service & Parts Representative to become a key member of our Elm Grove team. In this role, you'll be the connection between our Service Department, Parts Department, customers, sales team, warehouse, and industry-leading manufacturers like Toro. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, service efficiency, and our overall success.
What You’ll Do:
As our Service & Parts Representative, you'll wear many hats while providing exceptional support to both our internal service technicians and our external customers. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate parts needs for our Service Department to keep repairs moving efficiently.
- Communicate order status, work proactively with suppliers, and identify alternative solutions when needed.
- Open, maintain, and track purchase orders and warehouse transfers for Service parts.
- Assist with Service parts inventory, returns, and shipment issues.
- Process customer orders accurately in person, by phone, and electronically.
- Monitor customer orders from entry through delivery while resolving questions, pricing concerns, and order discrepancies.
- Lead cycle counting activities and support annual physical inventory.
- Develop working knowledge of all Parts Department functions, including picking, packing, and shipping, and jump in wherever needed.
- Assist customers by identifying their needs, answering questions, and providing outstanding service.
- Follow up on customer quotes and orders while managing customer pickups and payment transactions.
- Perform other duties that support the success of our team.
What We’re Looking For:
We're seeking someone who enjoys working with people just as much as they enjoy solving inventory and parts challenges.
Qualified candidates will have:
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Previous experience working with parts
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory management
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- The ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment
