Job Summary
Perfection Industrial Finishing is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Facility Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facility’s infrastructure and equipment. In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and facilities equipment will be essential in supporting our operational excellence. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to prevent failures and ensure safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform welding, carpentry, painting, and general building interior maintenance to uphold facility standards.
- Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, hand tools, and other mechanical components through scheduled repairs and emergency interventions.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks and system controls to optimize facility operations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and plan future activities.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving electrical work, plumbing repairs, or building interior upgrades while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Lead or support team members in maintenance tasks while fostering a culture of safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders about maintenance schedules, issues, and resolutions to ensure transparency and coordination.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and electrical codes is essential.
- Hands-on skills with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC repair techniques, and carpentry.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques and residential painting is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot electrical equipment using tools like ohmmeters.
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership roles within the team.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance tasks safely while adhering to all safety protocols related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities upkeep.
