American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Marshalltown, IA, requiring 24 months of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience and the ability to independently read and measure telemetry strips.

16-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting

Patient population includes telemetry, post-op surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients
-
Patient ratio of 5:1
-
Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips independently
-
Drips administered include insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
-
Epic EMR used; experience required
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week

Every 3rd weekend required
-
Holiday rotation required
-
No on-call responsibilities

Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required
-
Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 24 months of Med/Surg and/or Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting required

Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
-
Drip experience with insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone required

Epic charting experience required

Driver's license required for consideration

Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred for consideration
