Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing patient treatment plans focused on physical rehabilitation and cognitive engagement.
- Support patients with body mechanics, transfer methods, and mobility exercises to promote safe movement and prevent injury.
- Transport patients safely within the facility, ensuring proper patient transfer techniques are followed at all times.
- Prepare treatment areas by setting up equipment, materials, and supplies needed for therapy sessions.
- Monitor and report on patient conditions, noting progress or concerns using clear medical terminology and documentation standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide encouragement, explain procedures, and address their needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of patient activities, body mechanics exercises, and therapy outcomes using Microsoft Office tools or specialized documentation systems.
