Purpose: The Accounting Clerk shall work in concert with the Accounting Department to provide accounting, bookkeeping, and other financial services to the Community Title & Escrow, True Title Company and affiliate companies. The Accounting Clerk will be generally familiar with all office & escrow accounting procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Some or all of the following duties & responsibilities may be assigned to the Accounting Assistant as business needs dictate:
· Reconcile and post all E-recording fees for all companies processed via EPN;
· Approve ACH transfers for earnest money received via Trustfunds and online payment platform daily;
· Post wire fees and analysis fees monthly for all escrow bank accounts;
· Verify all deposit slips and clear unused deposit tickets;
· Serve as the main point of contact for information related to outstanding checks;
· Place Void’s and Stop payments on company checks as needed;
· Setup wire templates for all True Title/Leaders Title offices ensuring proper procedures are followed;
· Work closely with all offices to ensure uncleared checks and escrow trial balance reports are cleared up in a timely manner;
· Serve as back-up for other duties as needed, including but not limited to: Positive pay, Trustfunds, Online payments, Rynoh reconciliation, CSC Balancing, retrieving invoices, remote bank deposits, etc.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Some or all of the following duties & responsibilities may be required as business needs dictate:
· Filing paid invoices
· Assist with administrative duties related to Unclaimed property and Stale checks as requested
· Ordering check stock for all offices
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
· 1+ years of accounting experience OR relevant experience within the banking or administrative setting. Mortgage, title or real estate industry experience is a plus;
· Strong knowledge of operational / process management
· Strong problem solving / critical thinking skills
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access)
· High school diploma or GED required, (accounting or business degree or certificate preferred but not required)
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
