Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Worker to join our team in a busy restaurant setting. As a Kitchen Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Along with the hourly wage, we offer a great tipping system that averages an additional $3/hr per team member.
Duties
- Come to work with a smile and a positive attitude
- Prepare and cook a variety of simple meals and menu items, adhering to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation
- Ensure all areas are clean and tidy.
- Handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system with ease.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and helping with menu choices.
- Upsell menu items, such as beverages, and promote special offers to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Help with food storage and inventory management.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and efficient food production.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is highly desirable.
- Learn to use Clover POS.
- Excellent food preparation and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle cash efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and move quickly during rush times.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Pay
Positions start at $10 per hour plus tips from Point of Sale which historically average additional $2 - $3/hr per employee.
