Assistant Project Manager (APM) – J.L. Marshall & Sons Inc.

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our team in an entry-level role, supporting our Project Managers in delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in overseeing construction projects from planning through completion.
- Review and track submittals, RFIs, daily reports, maintaining detailed and organized project documentation.
- Will develop a thorough understanding of contract and subcontract documents, scope of work, drawings, specifications, and construction means, methods and materials
- Prepares take-offs for assigned projects and provides cost-estimate change orders and bids; experience preparing concrete quantity take-off and formwork estimates is a definite plus.
- Compiles and analyzes historical data for use in the bid proposal estimates, with an emphasis on reading and interpreting structural drawings.
- Assist Project Manager monitoring cash flow, schedules, budgets, labor planning and spending throughout the project.
- Coordinates with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintains organized project records and ensure timely communication across the organization.
- Performs special projects or administrative tasks when required to support the project managers and field operations
Qualifications:
We are seeking experienced applicants, recent graduates, and entry-level candidates. Experienced candidates will have a bachelor of science degree in construction management, civil engineering or engineering technology, and a strong background (5 years) in construction. Experience working for a Construction Manager is a definite plus. We will also consider training candidates with an associate's degree, high school diploma, strong math and recordkeeping skills, experience in construction or the military, familiarity with concrete construction. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Procore, and Textura (or willingness to learn).

- Eager to learn, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset and is able to complete deliverables in a timely manner.
