Job Overview
Maxwell Tribeca is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and reliable Seamstress / Drapery Specialist for custom window treatments, curtain installations, and ongoing textile projects. We are starting with an initial drapery project, with the opportunity for steady, recurring work as we expand our design tasks across the space.
If you have experience working with fine fabrics, custom curtains, and interior drapery, and are looking to pick up steady side projects with direct pay, we want to connect with you!
1) Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, sew, and finish custom drapes, cafe curtains, and window treatments to exact specifications.
- Work with high-end, heavy, and delicate fabrics (linens, embroidered textiles, velvet, etc.).
- Perform alterations, hem adjustments, and repairs on existing curtains and interior textiles on-site as needed.
- Collaborate on design execution to ensure curtains hang and fit perfectly within our luxury spaces.
2) Requirements:
- Proven experience in custom drapery, curtain fabrication, or interior soft furnishings sewing.
- High attention to detail, precision stitching, and fabric handling skills.
- Highly resourceful, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Must have access to your own professional sewing machinery/tools or capability to perform precision work on-site/in-studio.
- Flexible availability for project-based tasks and on-call adjustments.
