Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) || Urgent Hiring || Quick Offer
Pay Rate: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care across multiple PCU/Intermediate Care (IMCU) units with a primary focus on cardiac patients. This position requires adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to PCU and IMCU patients with cardiac conditions.
- Float to all designated PCU/IMCU units as needed.
- Care for patients with diagnoses including - STEMI, NSTEMI, Chest Pain, Post-Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS)
- Monitor and manage cardiac drips, including- Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Vasopressors
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status using EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- May be assigned to telemetry patients with lower acuity when required.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Patient Assignment
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3–4
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMCU experience in a similar-sized acute care hospital.
- Experience caring for cardiac patients and managing vasoactive and inotropic infusions.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to float between multiple PCU/IMCU units.
Preferred Experience
- Strong cardiac progressive care background.
- Experience in high-volume acute care hospitals.
- Comfortable adapting to different unit workflows and patient populations.
