Job Title: Industrial Hygienist / Consultant

Position Summary
We are seeking an Industrial Hygienist / Consultant to assist with inspections, sampling, and reporting. This is a field-focused, entry-level role working directly under a Senior Hygienist. When not in the field, time will be spent working remotely from home.
Responsibilities
- Perform site inspections for mold, moisture/water, asbestos, and lead-based paint
- Collect air, surface, bulk, and other samples
- Accurately record field measurements, sample locations, and site conditions
- Assist with organizing lab results and preparing reports
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and property managers
- Maintain field equipment, PPE, and basic calibration and chain-of-custody records
- Follow BEI safety policies and applicable regulations/guidelines (EPA, AHERA, OSHA, HUD, IICRC)
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
- Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, mechanical rooms, and other challenging environments
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to lift to ~40 lbs and wear PPE/respirators as needed
Preferred (not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Biology, or related field
- OR relevant experience in environmental, restoration, or construction work
- Experience with mold, asbestos, or lead sampling/inspections
- Any current asbestos, lead, or mold/IEQ certifications
- Familiarity with moisture meters, thermal cameras, air sampling pumps, and similar equipment
Schedule / Work Hours
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional off-hours work as needed (rare)
