Two shifts available - Monday through Friday
- 1st Shift: 5am to 1:30pm
- 2nd Shift: 1pm to 9:30pm
$19hr to start
A manufacturing company equipped with advanced machinery and innovative technology, specializing in the formulation and production of a wide range of skincare products, including creams, lotions, serums, and masks is seeking a Pre-Weigher I to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: Work in the pre-weigh booth in a manufacturing environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure procedures, protocols, and policies are understood and followed.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned according to protocol and procedures.
- Pick compounding work orders and transfer them to proper staging areas.
- Pre-weighs batches from 1 lb. to 500 lbs.
- Work with QC to review and approve completed batch weigh outs.
- Ensure all equipment activity and use logs are current and correct.
- Wear proper PPE and have a basic understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Check and verify raw materials – Expiration date, lot numbers, and Quantity.
- Document all weighed ingredients to the workorder.
- Keep track of all documentation, fill out completely, and follow all good documentation practices.
- Reweigh unused materials after batch is completed.
- Perform periodic cycle counts.
- Maintain warehouse areas clean and free of debris.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications:
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Knowledge of weight conversions.
- Knowledge of standard and metric units of measure.
- Knowledge in operating floor scales and table top scales.
- Forklift Certification.
- Inventory control knowledge.
- Flexibility to work special schedules as required satisfying job requirements.
- Good attendance record.
- Demonstrated teamwork.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and writing skills appropriate to the job description.
- Basic MRP and WMS RF scanning experience.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, walk and drive forklifts.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; ear protection required in some areas.
