Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards and presentation expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including proper cleaning routines and waste disposal.
- Support bussing and food running duties to ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests or servers.
- Handle manual lifting and heavy lifting safely when moving supplies, ingredients, or equipment around the kitchen.
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety.
- Help with inventory management by organizing stock, rotating supplies, and reporting shortages or issues.
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by assisting with guest inquiries and supporting hospitality efforts.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory—willingness to learn is key!
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions.
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing is a plus.
- Experience with food safety standards, food preparation, and general kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for culinary tasks like cooking, food running, serving, and supporting banquet events.
