Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding guest services.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Provide information about the menu and specials to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
- Assist with guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness in the host area and ensure menus are updated and presentable.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the restaurant.
- Assist bussing tables or running food
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Experience in guest services within a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using POS systems; familiarity with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a friendly team atmosphere.
