American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU (Coronary Care Unit) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
-
36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
-
Coronary Care Unit (CCU) setting within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
-
Weekend requirement: 5 shifts within a 6-week period
-
Holiday coverage required every other holiday

No floating requirements
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active IL RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted)

ASN required; BSN preferred
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience

Epic EMR experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Proficiency with ventilator management, cardiac monitor interpretation, intracranial pressure monitoring, and central venous pressure monitoring

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

RTO not to exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching that threshold

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing nursing interventions, and continuous evaluation and modification of care plans

Department-specific duties include working with ventilated patients for early mobility, collaborating with the care team, monitoring specialized equipment, and responding to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocol

Utilizes meaningful hourly rounding, bedside report, and whiteboards to ensure effective communication with patients and families
