As our Grants Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable difference while working with an experienced, mission-driven team.
As the Grants Manager, you'll coordinate multiple grant initiatives while supporting a team of Grant Directors and Associate Vice Presidents. You'll help ensure every proposal is organized, compelling, compliant, and submitted on time.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage the full grant lifecycle, from proposal development through post-award reporting
Prepare, organize, and maintain grant, financial, legal, and program documentation
Maintain grant submission and reporting calendars while communicating deadlines to leadership
Coordinate reporting requirements and ensure compliance with funder expectations
Research corporate, foundation, and capital funding opportunities that align with KVC's mission
Write, review, and submit high-quality grant proposals
Partner with leadership and program staff to gather information for competitive applications
Maintain transparency reporting through Charity Navigator, Candid, 211, and other required platforms
Evaluate funding prospects and maintain accurate grant records
Support additional fundraising initiatives and special projects
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
Valid driver's license and auto insurance
Minimum three years of grant coordination experience
Grant management experience preferred
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience maintaining accurate documentation and working with data
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Professional
Ability to collaborate across departments and build strong working relationships
Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
Ability to meet revenue goals
Willingness to travel throughout Kansas and Missouri, including the Kansas City Metro and St. Louis areas
