Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our Team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the extrusion and slitting operations for one of the largest spunlaid producers of nonwoven fabrics in the world. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with industrial equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and surface quality.
- Troubleshoot, resolve problems and monitor processes and machinery to optimize productivity and maintain high-quality production output.
- Document production data, material usage and quality metrics to monitor and report on production performance.
- Collaborate with other production team members to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality products under the supervision of the Team Lead.
- Keeps the machine and the surrounding area clean.
- Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating extrusion machinery or in a related manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities related to industrial equipment maintenance.
- Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift.
- Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75lbs of force to maneuver.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Working in warm to hot conditions.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
