JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Estimator is responsible for driving our sales activities. This
includes building and maintaining relationships with customers, managing the sales pipeline,
building quotes and preparing sales opportunities for our Project Managers. The Sales Estimator
leads our customer service focus.
Key performance objectives are:
- Prepare quotes accurately, timely and in a way that provides excellent customer
service oughly understand our products and their applications
- Deliver exceptional customer service to build relationships with customers
- Develop new customers and sales opportunities
- Develop and lead our sales strategy
- Lead, develop and train other sales personnel
- Communicate and work well with other internal functions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an

- Understand our customers and our position in the market.
- Stay informed of job opportunities. This will involve staying up to date with our customers
and monitoring public jobs.
- Perform detailed and thorough take-off of construction plans to identify our structures and
other relevant information. Being able to read and understand civil construction plans is
critical to success in this role.
- Prepare quotes for job opportunities requested by customers or listed publicly. Quotes need
to be sent to customers in a timely manner.
- Actively communicate with other internal functions such as Project Managers, production
and dispatch, as well as customers and other third parties, to ensure quotes are accurate.
- Effectively transition awarded jobs to the Project Managers.
- As needed, continue to communicate with the customer throughout the job.
- Identify and develop opportunities with new customers.
- Work to continually improve our sales function processes and Titan operations.
- Learn about our products and their applications. Learn relevant specifications and
requirements of various municipalities/DOTs. Continuously improve this knowledge.
- Help drive our customer service focus.
- Develop and train other sales personnel.
- Develop and lead our sales strategy.
Other tasks as instructed by management. These tasks may be unrelated to the Sales
Manager’s responsibilities listed here, but the Sales Manager must remember that we are a
small business where employees must wear multiple hats. Our ultimate success is the
responsibility of all employees, and we must be open to tasks to help accomplish this.
EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must
have or be working towards the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of successful sales experience.
- Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred experience in the construction or manufacturing industries.
- Understanding of civil construction plans.
- This role will require moderate travel at times. Must have a valid driver's license.
- Self-motivated attitude. Ability to work and manage a department independently.
- Ability to learn and
