Primary Purpose:
The Financial Planning Specialist will manage the data entry, data gathering, financial plan follow-up, and overall departmental support of Planning Partners. This position will work in coordination with the Director of Planning Partners to provide our advisors a VIP customer experience.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Manage the financial planning software, eMoney & MoneyGuidePro to create the including but not limited to, cash flow projections, insurance reviews, and estate reviews.
- Oversee and manage wealth.com which may include but not limited to the integration of the platform, user management, online access, and troubleshooting needs.
- Partner with advisors to gather data needed to create financial plans and to implement recommendations from plan reviews.
- Track advisor progress updates, as well as client updates.
- Manage weekly workflow of the plans through weekly meetings and check-ins.
- Work closely with the head of Planning Partners to create and maintain plan options.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for advisors and clients on wealth.com estate planning services and resources.
- Commitment to the strategy, development, and growth of Planning Partners department and wealth.com.
- Educate, coach, and train clients and advisors on best practices to improve the financial planning process.
- Commitment to continuing learning and professional development. Hungry to grow understanding of the estate planning, financial planning, tax planning, and retirement planning processes.
- Other special projects and duties as assigned within functional/knowledge area.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management or related field, required.
- 2+ years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry, required.
- 1+ years of experience in financial planning, preferred.
- Active MN Health and Life License, required.
- FINRA registrations – SIE, Series 7, and Series 66, or willingness to obtain within six (6) months of employment, required.
- Experience in MoneyGuidePro and eMoney financial planning softwares, strongly preferred.
- Salesforce and other customer resource management (CRM) software, preferred.
- Familiarity with the basics of tax planning, required.
- Personable, approachable with a positive attitude in providing service excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects; prioritize, triage, and resolve conflict effectively.
- Effective time management, organization, and problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills. Active listener.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Experience:
- MoneyGuidePro or eMoney: 1 year (Preferred)
- financial services industry: 1 year (Required)
- Paraplanner and Financial planning: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- SIE, Series 7, or Series 66 licenses (Preferred)
