VP Aviation is hiring A&P Mechanics to support a major aircraft maintenance and modification program in Alabama.
Candidates must hold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
Mechanics with aircraft modification experience are highly preferred.
This position offers the opportunity to support heavy maintenance activities in a fast-paced production environment.

A&P Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and modification work on aircraft and aircraft systems
- Install, remove, troubleshoot, and replace aircraft components
- Support aircraft upgrades, retrofits, and engineering changes
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Perform operational checks and functional testing
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
- Follow company, customer, and FAA requirements
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support aircraft delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
- Significant aircraft modification experience required.
- Aircraft maintenance experience required
- Previous experience on Boeing, Airbus, military, commercial, or rotary-wing aircraft.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented maintenance environment
Shift Information
Candidates must be flexible and willing to work either day or evening night shifts as production requirements increase.
