We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on both preventive and acute health needs. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient interactions, a strong understanding of medical protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in various settings.
Core Responsibilities
- Routine Exams: Perform Pap smears, pelvic exams, and clinical breast screenings.
- Prenatal & Postpartum Care: Monitor pregnancies, order ultrasounds, and manage postpartum recovery.
- Family Planning: Counsel on contraceptive methods and perform IUD/Nexplanon insertions.
- Disease Management: Diagnose and treat STIs, UTIs, vaginitis, and hormonal imbalances.
- Menopause Care: Manage symptoms using hormonal and non-hormonal therapeutic options.
- Specialized Procedures: Assist with or perform colposcopies, biopsies, and ultrasounds. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Skills
- Proficiency in hospice palliative medicine and infectious disease care.
- Strong understanding of basic life support protocols.
- Excellent case management skills to navigate complex patient needs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance.
- Experience with botulinum toxin treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration.
