Position Summary
The Commercial HVAC Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies for our commercial HVAC business. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise, estimating proficiency, project planning capabilities, and business development experience.
This individual will serve as a key leader within the organization and will play a critical role in expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering profitable growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to grow commercial HVAC revenue.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across a variety of commercial market sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with property owners, facility managers, general contractors, developers, engineers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Review construction documents, plans, specifications, and mechanical schedules to develop accurate project estimates and proposals.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and scope evaluations.
- Prepare competitive bid packages and negotiate project awards.
- Assist with HVAC system design, equipment selection, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and forecast future business opportunities.
- Represent the company professionally within the local commercial construction and facilities management communities.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of five years of commercial HVAC estimating, bidding, and business development experience.
- Demonstrated success in securing commercial HVAC projects and developing long-term client relationships.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical construction practices.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience preparing detailed estimates, takeoffs, and project proposals.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Established network within the local commercial construction, property management, engineering, or facilities sectors.
- Experience with design-build, plan-and-spec, retrofit, and replacement projects.
- Leadership experience within a commercial HVAC organization.
- Familiarity with industry estimating and project management software platforms.
