Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, particularly in a fabrication shop environment. This position requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, safety standards, and the ability to work with various materials. The MIG Welder will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry codes and standards.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS 1F and 1G WELD TEST WITH GMAW-S!!!!!
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components and structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment effectively.
- Conduct inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a construction or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in work.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to welding practices.
- Ability to solder and rig materials as required for specific projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
