PARTNER RELATIONS COORDINATOR (FT)
Job Summary:
The Partner Relations Coordinator will act as a liaison between partner agencies and Island Harvest Food Bank. This includes but is not limited to assisting agencies in all aspects of becoming a partner agency, developing and co-teaching various trainings, providing customer service and technical assistance to agencies and monitoring agencies for compliance with Feeding America and Island Harvest policies and procedures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and process partnership applications from nonprofit organizations seeking to partner with Island Harvest.
- Conduct site assessments and evaluate applicants for partnership eligibility
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to nonprofit organizations throughout application process.
- Notify non-profit applicant of partnership approval or denial decision.
- Assist in running warehouse and central food distributions as needed.
- Assist clients with locating a local food pantry, soup kitchen, and/or home delivery.
- Work with the Supply Chain department to find agencies to pick up retail donations from stores as needed.
- Ensure agencies utilizing stores are submitting receipts correctly.
- Host feedback meetings frequently with agencies for comments or concerns.
- Collaborate with the warehouse to create pick-up and delivery of food to agencies.
- Inform agencies of any delays, closures, relocations of events.
- Inform agencies of upcoming events and food recalls.
- Conduct partner agency monitoring in a timely manner to ensure compliance with Feeding America, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Island Harvest policies and procedures.
- Provide information in the form of monitor re-cap to appropriate Island Harvest staff and partner agency personnel.
- Develop corrective action plans, capacity building and/or work plans in response to organizational/program monitor assessment.
- Assure follow-up and compliance of all corrective action plans.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience dealing with the public.
- Prior work or volunteer experience in social services and/or experience working within a non-profit organization preferred.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Doc, SharePoint and Internet applications in a Windows environment.
- Knowledge of Database Management.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required.
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions
Incumbents in this role must be available to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with occasional evening and weekend availability as needed. Frequent travel throughout the region is required, and employees must have access to a reliable personal vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed.
Hourly rate: $25.00/hr
