Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Warehouse Supervisor – Produce & Grocery to oversee daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has experience working with fresh produce, grocery products, palletizing, forklift operation, and warehouse organization. This person must be a quick learner, detail-oriented, and able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Manage produce and grocery inventory to ensure accuracy and proper rotation.
- Operate a forklift safely to move pallets and organize warehouse areas.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Build, wrap, and organize pallets according to customer and company requirements.
- Ensure proper handling of fresh produce and grocery products.
- Monitor product quality, damages, and inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Coordinate with drivers, warehouse employees, and office staff.
- Train and support warehouse team members.
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Learn company systems and procedures quickly.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse supervisor or lead experience preferred.
- Experience working with fresh produce and grocery products is highly preferred.
- Forklift experience required (certification is a plus).
- Knowledge of palletizing, loading, and unloading procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to multitask.
- Ability to lift and move products as required.
Preferred Skills
- Produce distribution experience.
- Inventory management experience.
- Experience with pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Knowledge of FIFO rotation and product handling.
