Come experience working for a laid‑back, casual, but professional private practice where your work truly matters. We are looking for a friendly, compassionate, and assertive front office receptionist to join our team.
A positive, upbeat attitude is essential. You’ll interact with patients of all ages — from young children to older adults — and a wide range of personalities. Patience, emotional intelligence, and strong de‑escalation skills will help you succeed. You should be comfortable working independently, while also knowing when to ask for help.
Our ideal candidate might be someone who understands the expectations of a larger healthcare organization but wants the balance, flexibility, and close‑knit team atmosphere that only a private practice can offer. Experience in a hospital, medical office, or other structured, fast‑paced environment is highly valued.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Front office hours begin at 7:30 AM and end at 4, 5, or 6 PM depending on the day

- Paid time off for six major holidays
- 4 PTO
- Collaborative front office team of 3–4 staff members who share responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Answering incoming calls and returning voicemail messages
- Greeting patients at the front window and providing excellent customer service
- Collecting co‑pays and payments
- Scheduling appointments accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organized waiting room
- Supporting the front office team to keep the day running smoothly
Required Skills
- Ability to scan documents, make copies, and use a payment card reader
- Proficiency with basic computer software, including Outlook and Microsoft Teams
- Clear, pleasant, professional phone voice
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- 5 years of previous office experience required
Who Should Not Apply
This position may not be a good fit for someone seeking an entry‑level role or a slower, low‑stress environment. A medical front office moves quickly and requires accuracy, professionalism, and comfort interacting with patients throughout the day. Candidates without prior healthcare experience — or experience in another structured, fast‑paced setting — may find the learning curve challenging. If you prefer minimal multitasking, limited phone work, or highly predictable days, this role is unlikely to be a match.
