Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, billing, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety at all times.
- Restock supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages efficiently during shifts to meet customer demand.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills and basic math proficiency; process payments via POS systems.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators during catering, banquet, or nightclub service to ensure seamless operations.
- Uphold food handling standards and adhere to alcohol serving regulations at all times.
- Assist in training new team members on POS systems, food safety procedures, and customer service expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food service role; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, responsible alcohol service practices, and food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events such as banquets or catering functions.
