Able Life Services is a newly developed, mission-driven Adult Day Habilitation program in Jersey City serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our philosophy centers on empowerment, community integration, and helping individuals discover their strengths — their super powers.
We are seeking compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who want to make a real impact every day.
Responsibilities:
- Support participants in daily activities and individualized goals
- Assist with community outings and skill-building activities
- Encourage independence and social engagement
- Provide assistance with personal care as needed
- Support meal preparation and daily living skills
- Document services and participant progress
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment
- Driving is also required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Ability to support participants in community settings
- Valid driver’s license and driver history with 0 points
- Ability to pass background check and required trainings
- Bilingual required
Pay: $20.00 per hour
