Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher and/or Formsetter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, formwork, and related construction activities. This role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality finishes, and adhering to safety standards on-site. The Concrete Finisher will play a vital part in transforming raw concrete into durable, aesthetically pleasing surfaces that meet project specifications and client expectations.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level, and textured finishes.
- Set and remove forms for concrete pouring based on blueprints and technical drawings.
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate application of finishing techniques.
- Install rebar and metal mesh reinforcement according to safety protocols and project requirements.
- Pour, spread, and level concrete using mixers, pumps, and other machinery.
- Perform concrete cutting, grinding, sealing, caulking, and sealing to ensure proper surface quality.
- Assist with formwork construction and removal, ensuring structural integrity during the finishing process.
- Maintain a clean work environment by removing debris and organizing tools and materials efficiently.
- Follow all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, scaffolding, working at heights, and general construction site safety protocols.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to coordinate tasks effectively during renovation or new construction projects.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles is required.
- Familiarity with construction formwork construction, masonry techniques, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, roofing basics, metal stud framing, heavy equipment operation and commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, floats, edgers; power tools including grinders and saws; as well as concrete pumps is necessary.
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
- Experience with heavy lifting techniques and working on various construction sites—including restoration projects—is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
