Are you an experienced Asphalt Estimator with a strong understanding of the construction and paving industry? Vandalia Blacktop & Sealcoating, Inc. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Asphalt Estimator to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating the costs of asphalt paving and construction projects, ensuring accurate pricing, and helping us deliver high-quality work to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for asphalt paving projects.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the most cost-effective approach.
- Assess job site conditions, materials, and labor requirements for accurate estimates.
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to discuss project scope and timelines.
- Analyze and evaluate bid opportunities and prepare competitive proposals.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and contract information.
- Monitor and adjust estimates as project requirements change or new information is available.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Asphalt Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or paving industry.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt materials, construction techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
