What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and development of custom mechanical equipment, components, and prototypes based on customer needs and engineering specifications
- Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings for metal fabrication and machining using SolidWorks
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality, safety, and industry standards
- Validate designs through verification, maintenance, and product data management processes
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Planning to balance performance, cost, and manufacturability
- Provide hands‑on technical support to manufacturing teams during builds and troubleshooting
- Maintain and continuously improve Engineering Product Specifications as equipment evolves
- Play an integral role in product development, contributing ideas and implementing design enhancements
- Mentor and train Equipment Designers, helping strengthen the overall design team
What You Bring
- Associate degree in Drafting or Design (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 5+ years of design experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid grasp of mechanical engineering principles
- 5+ years of professional SolidWorks experience
- Experience leading design projects or providing technical guidance to others is highly valued
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining attention to detail and quality
