Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Senior Director, the Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for developing corporate relationships and securing philanthropic gifts, as well as maintaining responsibility for organizational events that foster corporate giving and sponsor recognition.
This position works collaboratively and creatively to lead revenue generation within corporate giving: including corporate sponsorships of organizational events and fundraisers, corporate donations (cash and in-kind), and corporate employee giving campaigns. This position will work collaboratively with the Director of Donor Relations. Responsibility and accountability for the development and achievement of annual corporate revenue goals and event revenue goals is critical to the position and the organization's success. In this role, the Director will strive to build synergy between Charleston Habitat’s other fundraising programs: Individual Giving/Annual Fund, Planned Giving, Major Gifts, Advocacy/Community Engagement and Grants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Relations – Work with the Senior Director, C Suite, and Board to strengthen relations with the corporate community in Charleston County. Identify and pursue sources of corporate funding. Look for and capitalize on opportunities for additional corporate support such as construction gifts in-kind, ReStore procurement, and funding for repairs, renovations, and neighborhood revitalization. Provide support to the Community Outreach Manager for solicitation of corporate build days and other unpaid group builds, which will be scheduled and managed by the Community Outreach Manager.
- Corporate Giving – Secure corporate gifts for organizational fundraising events, home sponsorships, and general operations in accordance with the Development Plan.
- Faith Relations – Cultivate relationships with local churches, synagogues, mosques, and other faith groups. Identify and pursue faith-based sponsorships, donations and opportunities for engagement.
- Fundraising Events – Oversee and implement organizational fundraising events, including: Playhouse Project and Play It Forward, Golf Tournament, Oyster Roast, and Builder Bash, in collaboration with advocacy & development, construction, and volunteer teams. Develop and maintain fundraising event budgets and achieve net revenue goals in accordance with the Development Plan. Support of affinity builds and third-party events in collaboration with the Community Outreach Manager.
- Corporate Recognition – Work with Director of Donor Relations, Senior Director, Homeowner Services, and Volunteer Services to ensure proper recognition and stewardship of all corporate donors. Create acknowledgement letters and receipts for all event sponsors and attendees.
- External Events – Represent the organization at external events, civic organizations, chambers, rotary clubs, industry associations, and other community engagement opportunities to strengthen relationships and expand community visibility.
- Marketing – Provide support for the organization’s comprehensive marketing plan that includes events, media relations, press releases, social networking, Annual Report, website, newsletters, and branding.
- Database Management – Properly document moves management of corporate portfolio in the donor database system. Manage Charity Proud Events Module and support CFO in the management of Clickbid Event software.
- Administration – Develop and implement an annual comprehensive corporate giving plan, in collaboration with the Executive Team, with targeted goals, objectives, methods, quantifiable outcomes and timelines to achieve budgeted goals. Partner with the Executive Team to coordinate with Board Members and support their donor outreach efforts. Serve as staff liaison to the Events Committee and as a member of the Development Committee. Provide monthly reports to the Committee Chairs, Executive Leadership, and Board of Directors.
- Grants – Work closely with staff to review corporate grant opportunities and obtain information for reporting, corporate donor expectations and knowledge of programmatic needs for funding. Some grant writing may be required (ie. Corporate and pass-thru grants from Habitat for Humanity International).
Required Knowledge & Expertise Minimum:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Years of Related Experience: 5+ years in non-profit development and fundraising
- Understanding of different aspects of comprehensive fundraising program
- Experienced in marketing and brand management, including social media
- Experience with donor management and event software
- Comfortable in a faith-based environment
- Experience working with boards and/or volunteer committees
Preferred – in addition to minimum:
- Excellent understanding of and/or passion for Habitat for Humanity’s mission
- 3+ years of management experience in developing and maintaining successful corporate giving programs
- Grants Management knowledge

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
