Job Summary
Current Technology Group, Inc. (CTG) is a Veteran-Owned Small Business and SBA-certified 8(a) firm delivering IT, data, and cybersecurity services to federal and commercial clients. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst / Application Developer to build custom applications, automations, and analytics that replace manual processes and inform senior-leadership decisions. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Jacksonville, North Carolina area. This role is not remote.
Responsibilities
- Build custom applications and automations that replace manual processes - primarily on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) and in Excel/VBA
- Develop and adapt statistical and mathematical models to evaluate operational readiness and forecast the effects of alternative courses of action
- Design and maintain data pipelines and dashboards using Power BI, Python, and approved client-environment tooling
- Identify where operational data is generated but not captured, and build the means to capture it
- Prepare reports and presentations that convey data trends and analysis to senior leadership on a recurring cycle
- Write user manuals and training guides so the client's own staff can operate what you build
- Work directly with stakeholders across the organization to frame problems that have no established process yet
Required Qualifications
- One of the following: a Master's degree; OR a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience; OR 8 years of dedicated relevant experience - in quantitative science, computer science, information technology, social science, business technology, or a related discipline
- Effective programming in one or more scripting languages - Python, JavaScript, VBA, or R
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI)
- Working knowledge of operations research techniques - qualitative and quantitative methods, and the development and adaptation of models to define solutions and recommend alternatives
- Demonstrated ability to independently gather and analyze data, apply data-cleansing techniques, reach defensible conclusions, and package the process into briefings or reports for senior decision-makers
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to build working relationships with non-technical stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to pass a Government background vetting process and handle Controlled Unclassified Information. No security clearance is required for this position.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience embedded on-site with a public-sector or regulated client
- Experience building Power Platform solutions inside a restricted or managed IT environment
- Background in readiness, logistics, operations analysis, or a similar operational domain
- Experience authoring technical documentation and training material
Working Conditions
- On-site, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, within a 0700-1700 window
- Client-furnished workspace and equipment
- Occasional limited telework may be available for non-sensitive work at the client's discretion
- U.S. Federal holiday schedule observed

Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
