We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hair styling techniques, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to create beautiful looks for our clients. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services while ensuring an exceptional experience for every client.
Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling according to client preferences and current trends.
- Utilize knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results in hair coloring and highlighting.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and tools in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized consultations.
- Assist in retail sales by recommending products that enhance the client's hairstyle and overall hair health.
- Be a team player.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and products to continuously improve skills.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
- Proficiency in various hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, hair threading, and sanitation practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Experience with salon management software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed.
- Retail sales experience is a plus, helping to drive product sales within the salon.
- A willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing trends in the beauty industry.
