Paw Pals is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable dog walker and pet sitter to join our team. This opening is primarily serving the West Side, Middleton, and Fitchburg areas.
In this role, you'll care for our clients' pets in their homes, including dog walks, cat sitting, and general pet care. Our goal is to provide reliable, high-quality care while building strong, lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. We take pride in providing thoughtful, consistent care and being a trusted part of our clients' routines.

What to Expect
Variable Scheduling Schedules can change week to week based on client needs. As you build a consistent route, hours typically become more stable.
All Weather Work We care for pets year-round in all types of weather, including rain, snow, and heat.
Travel Between Visits You'll be driving between client homes throughout your shift, so reliable transportation is required.
What We Ask You To Do
- Provide attentive, reliable care for dogs, cats, and other pets
- Follow detailed care instructions (walking routines, feeding, medications, etc.)
- Walk dogs and ensure proper exercise and enrichment
- Clean up after pets and maintain tidy spaces
- Send visit updates with notes and photos through our app
- Communicate with our team regarding any concerns or updates
Basic Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Comfortable handling pets of all sizes and temperaments
- Able to work in all types of weather
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Smartphone required (for scheduling and visit updates)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to pass a background check
- Commitment to the role for at least 6 months
- Team-oriented and dependable
Availability
We are primarily looking for team members with weekday availability between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM — this is our busiest window for dog walking. A minimum of 2 weekdays within this window is required to be considered.
That said, we also welcome applicants who can cover shifts outside of those core hours, such as 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, or 12:00–6:00 PM. Our regular business hours are 8am–6pm, and additional morning or evening availability is always a plus.
We are especially looking for team members who want consistent weekday dog walking hours, with the option to pick up cat sitting and other visits before or after those peak hours.
Compensation & Perks

- Plus tips after training — 100% of tips go directly to you, and most team members earn between $18–$20/hour with tips included
