We are searching for skilled laborers to join our company, open to different levels of title and responsibility. Duties include reporting to the shop daily to prepare the trucks and equipment for the day, taking care of grounds cleanup work at a tree removal job setting, operating a bucket truck for tree trimming/removal (if skill permits), driving manual vehicles, maintaining tools and equipment, operating track machines and other heavy machinery, and ensuring hazard-free work areas. Individuals with skills in truck driving, maintenance, or small engine repairs are welcome to apply for part time positions
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all maintenance duties allocated by the owner.
- Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness and ability to drive trucks to the jobsite location
- Expected use of a chainsaw and chipper to assist with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposals.
- Safely using tools and equipment like chippers, chainsaws and wood processors along with operating other machinery to carry out maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring all sites are kept clean and free of hazards.
- Inspecting equipment and tools, and performing repairs and maintenance when required.
- Using the appropriate gear and observing safety protocols.
- Communicating with the owner and coworkers on a small-business level.
Requirements:
- Previous work experience as a Groundsman/Laborer or similar.
- Expected to work until the job is complete, some days being longer than others
- CDL is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to obtain a CDL.
- Good physical strength, fitness, vision, and hearing.
- The ability to climb, stand, walk and kneel.
- The ability to transport heavy items.
- The willingness to work during unfavorable weather conditions.
- A positive attitude.
