We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Kitchen Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, and leading a team of culinary professionals. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Collaborate with management to create menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food handling, production, and safety practices.
- Previous supervisory or management experience within the food industry is essential.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with team members and customers alike.
- Experience in hospitality management or restaurant management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes related to kitchen operations is advantageous.
