Overview
This is a hybrid payroll and project accounting role on a small, collaborative finance team. You'll own full-cycle payroll from start to finish, and you'll handle project accounting and AR for a small number of large, long-duration jobs. If you like variety and don't need a huge team around you to get things done, this fits.
Remote-friendly within reason. You don't need to live in Morehead, but you should be within about an hour's drive to come into the office occasionally and meet with leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll, including certified payroll, timekeeping review, and payroll tax reporting
- Handle project accounting functions including billing and AR for active jobs
- Post payroll journal entries and other journal entries as needed
- Assist with month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, under CPA oversight
Requirements
- 1-3 years of hands-on payroll experience, including certified payroll
- Construction or job-cost accounting experience
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small, still-developing finance function
- Located within about an hour of Morehead, KY. Occasional travel to Morehead required for meetings.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
