Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and excellent customer service skills. As a Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for crafting delicious sandwiches, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards, and providing a positive dining experience for our customers in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS, for order processing
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
- Upsell additional items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following cash handling procedures
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or a quick-service/fast food restaurant is preferred
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary
- Knowledge of sanitation practices within the kitchen environment
