Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Jr Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and low voltage installations. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards and client specifications. The Low Voltage Technician will play a crucial role in the successful execution of projects, collaborating with other team members to deliver high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including security, audio/visual, and telecommunications systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to execute project plans effectively.
- Utilize software tools such as ProCore, Primavera, and Bluebeam for project management and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) during installations.
- Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and potential challenges.
- Assist in construction estimating by providing insights on material needs and labor costs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a similar role within the electrical field.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and low voltage systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices is a plus.
- Experience using project management software such as ProCore, Primavera, or Bluebeam is preferred.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
