Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic construction team, you must have prior experience. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Duties
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and other construction management tools to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
- Analyze material requirements from blueprints and construction drawings to develop accurate quantity takeoffs
- Collaborate with clients and vendors through negotiation to establish competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards
- Manage project budgets by estimating labor, materials, equipment costs, and subcontractor quotes effectively
- Conduct site visits and review construction site conditions to inform accurate cost assessments and risk evaluations
- Prepare detailed spreadsheets and reports for cost control, project proposals, and bid submissions
- Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously by tracking changes, updating estimates, and ensuring timely delivery of proposals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry
- Strong proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, along with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Exceptional blueprint reading skills coupled with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software systems for estimating and project tracking
- Demonstrated expertise in cost management, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies for large-scale projects
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
- Construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground project realities
- Familiarity with construction industry standards related to estimation for commercial projects
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while maintaining accuracy

Pay: $30,354.95 - $72,685.53 per year
