Line Cook – FreshCo Fish Market & Grill | Downtown Doral
FreshCo Fish Market & Grill is hiring an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team at our Downtown Doral location.
We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced restaurant environment, maintains high food-quality standards, and can work efficiently as part of a team.
Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to FreshCo recipes and standards
- Set up and maintain assigned line stations
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep as needed
- Cook seafood, proteins, sides, appetizers, and other menu items accurately and efficiently
- Maintain proper portioning, presentation, and food quality
- Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store food
- Restock the line and prep areas throughout the shift
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning duties
- Communicate product shortages or kitchen issues to the kitchen lead or manager
- Assist other kitchen stations when needed
Qualifications:
- Previous line cook experience preferred
- Seafood restaurant experience is a plus
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently during high-volume service
- Strong attention to food quality, cleanliness, and organization
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to follow recipes and instructions
- Team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a busy kitchen environment
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
