About the Role:
We are a Sacramento-based arboriculture and plant health care consulting firm led by a Board Certified Master Arborist and Registered Consulting Arborist. We're expanding our field team and looking for a sharp, self-motivated arborist to take on field and project work — real assessments, real clients, real impact on the urban forest.
This isn't a bucket truck job. You'll be doing professional-grade tree health and risk assessments, field documentation, and report preparation on municipal, commercial, and residential projects. If you're an ISA Certified Arborist looking to build your consulting resume and work alongside highly credentialed professionals, this is the role.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct visual tree health and safety assessments on municipal properties
● Inspect completed tree pruning for quality, safety, and specification compliance
● Document findings in clear, organized reports
● Communicate professionally with municipal staff, contractors, and project managers
● Follow safety protocols and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Required Qualifications:
● ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain in 90 days
● Reliable personal transportation
● Willingness to work outdoors and conduct physical, on-foot site visits
● Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established guidelines
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Basic tree biology and pest/disease knowledge
● Self motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit
Preference given to candidates with:
● Familiarity with ANSI A300 pruning standards
● Experience with tree inventory, data collection, or TRAQ
● Technical report writing skills
● Experience with small business ownership
● CSLB C-27 or C-49 License Holders
● Pesticide Applicator QAL category B license holders
We are willing to provide project-specific guidance to qualified applicants
Job Details:
● Approximately 4-16 hours per week to start with room for growth
