Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. Your proactive approach and clinical skills will ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate service. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples accurately for laboratory testing
- Support clinical procedures such as X-ray imaging, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) when necessary
- Maintain detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure all records are accurate, complete, and compliant with privacy regulations
- Facilitate communication between patients and providers by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and coordinating referrals in outpatient or hospital settings
- Support medical office management tasks such as inventory control of supplies, appointment scheduling, and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in medical administrative support and clinical assisting roles
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology
- Hands-on experience with EHR systems (Electronic Health Records) or EMR (Electronic Medical Records) management tools
- Should be able to draw blood
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures and assist with radiology-related tasks
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations across age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics
