American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Work setting is a 233-bed acute care hospital Emergency Department

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 17:45–06:15

Patient ratio of 1:4
-
Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend, with shifts falling on Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation

Charting is done in Epic; experience with Epic is required
-
No on-call responsibilities

No floating required
-
Block scheduling is not available
-
Active MO RN license or compact RN license required; candidates with a pending IL license may be considered

Minimum 2 years of emergency department RN experience required
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
-
Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC

Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Navy scrubs are required

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Travelers may work at this health system for up to 18 months before a mandatory 3-month break is required

Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Pre-start orientation modules are required prior to the first shift
