Equipment Operator II – Concrete Crew
Starting Salary: $39,879
Join our team as a lead Equipment Operator II for the Concrete Crew. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the City’s Right of Ways, operating a variety of equipment, and assisting in the pouring and finishing of concrete sidewalks and driveways.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate Backhoes, Loaders, Dump Trucks, and other equipment

Lead a group of laborers in maintenance tasks

Assist in concrete pouring and finishing

Supervise and train subordinate employees

Maintain accurate records of work performed
-
Perform snow removal and work overtime during special events or weather conditions
-
Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive working relationships
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
3 to 5 years of experience in concrete work or public works maintenance and repair
-
Possession of a commercial driver’s license
-
Flagging certificate from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Transportation
-
Successful completion of criminal background and driving record checks
