The Opportunity
California Delivery Service is expanding its dedicated refrigerated fleet in the Bay Area and looking for experienced owner operators to join a new long-term dedicated program out of Richmond, CA. This is consistent, local work — same routes, same customer, early morning start, and done by noon most days. We are not a spot market operation. This is dedicated freight with a major food distribution customer. You know your routes, you know your docks, and you have your afternoons free.
The Work
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
Start time: Early morning dispatch Done by Noon most days — hours may vary by route Routes: Bay Area local — San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Concord, Rohnert Park and surrounding areas
Freight: Refrigerated food product (dairy, produce) — no touch freight
Loads per day: 2–3 runs per shift
Home time: Daily — local operation, no overnight runs
Pay: Per run — paid weekly every Friday, direct deposit
Trailer Options
Flexible for the right operator — two options available:
Option A — Pull Our Trailer No trailer? No problem. Qualified operators can haul from our refrigerated trailer pool. We provide the equipment, you provide the truck and authority.
Option B — Bring Your Own Trailer Have your own 53 ft food-grade reefer? Join our trailer pool and earn additional revenue when your trailer is not in use. We keep it working when you are not running.
What You Need
Valid Class A CDL
Active FMCSA operating authority (your own MC number)
Clean MVR and satisfactory safety record
ELD compliant
CARB compliant truck (California emissions)
Bay Area delivery experience preferred
If bringing own trailer: 53 ft refrigerated, food-grade interior, current wash-out certificate Ability to start on or around August 17, 2026
