The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count raw materials and finished products. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform load duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily forklift preventive maintenance tasks, make changes, adjustments, and other proactive measures; immediately report issues to supervisor

Use safety equipment only as directed and follow all safety rules and regulations

Move and load finished products in good condition and dust free; check pallets of product for broken bags, busted boxes, and dust

Load, transport, unload and stack materials in accordance with established procedures

Communicate non-compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor

Accurately select and load material properly to meet customer and production requirements

Assist Linemen in moving finished product

Load trucks as directed by supervisor

Maintain a clean workspace through daily housekeeping and cleaning following safety guidelines and Murco policies and procedures

Use safety equipment only as directed and follow any and all safety requirements and regulations

Assist in general upkeep of workstations

Follow all company policies and procedures

High school education
-
Must be 18 years of age
Required Skills:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Ability to walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time

Ability to routinely climb stairs, ladders, or platforms

Must be able to carry out tasks required in a safe and efficient manner
