Our client, one of the largest commercial real estate owner and operators, is looking to add an Assistant Property Manager or Property Manager to their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of a commercial office building in New York City, working closely with senior leadership, building engineers, tenants, and vendors to deliver a first-class experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in the daily management and operations of a commercial office property.
- Develop strong relationships with tenants, responding to requests and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Coordinate with engineering, security, janitorial, and maintenance teams to ensure buildings are operating efficiently.
- Manage vendor relationships, oversee service contracts, and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Support operating budgets, invoice approvals, monthly reporting, and financial tracking.
- Assist with capital improvement projects, tenant improvement work, and building upgrades.
- Perform regular property inspections and proactively identify operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with building policies, life safety requirements, and local regulations.
- Partner with ownership and senior property management on initiatives that enhance building operations and tenant satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience managing commercial office properties in New York City.
- Experience working for a commercial landlord, owner/operator, or third-party property management firm.
- Strong understanding of commercial building operations and tenant relations.
- Experience coordinating vendors, reviewing invoices, and assisting with property budgets.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
