Estimator – Future Frame
Position Summary
Future Frame is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Estimator to support our growing operations team. This role is responsible for reviewing customer project information and assembling accurate, competitive bids for framing packages, component materials, and labor costs. The Estimator will work closely with customers, sales teams, vendors, and internal operations to ensure projects are scoped correctly and quoted efficiently.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Review customer plans, specifications, and project details to determine scope and requirements
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates for:
- Full framing kits/packages
- Individual framing components
- Labor and installation costs
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations from blueprints and construction drawings
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain current material pricing and availability
- Develop detailed bid proposals and pricing summaries for customers
- Evaluate project scope changes and revise estimates as needed
- Work collaboratively with sales, operations, purchasing, and project management teams
- Maintain organized records of bids, pricing, and project documentation
- Monitor market pricing trends and assist with cost analysis
- Ensure estimates align with company margins, timelines, and operational capabilities
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding bid questions, revisions, and clarifications
Qualifications

Previous estimating experience in construction, framing, building materials, or related industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction materials, framing systems, and labor estimating
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with estimating or takeoff software preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Experience

Wood framing or component estimating experience
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction processes
- Experience coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors
- Familiarity with lumber packages, trusses, wall panels, or framing systems
