Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Restaurant Cashier to join our team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face that greets our guests, processes transactions efficiently, and ensures an exceptional overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Transaction Processing: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile transactions with precision and integrity.
- Phone Operations: Demonstrate professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries, handling customer questions, and taking phone orders.
- Front-of-House Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized counter area, restock beverage and condiment stations, and support general front-of-house cleanliness.
- Team Collaboration: Support kitchen staff and supervising team members during peak lunch and dinner hours to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or fast-paced retail environment is highly preferred.
- Cash Handling: Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for processing transactions and balancing the register.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Bilingual Abilities: Conversational bilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve our diverse customer base.
- Food Safety: Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards.
- Requirement: Must have or be willing to obtain a ServSafe or Florida-approved Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire.
